A little sceptical at first, I set up a web site for my local parish council, Caston. I had no knowledge beyond sending emails. The whole process couldn't have been easier and when I did need some assistance it was readily available. The Spanglefish people are really helpful. I always thought websites were only for the sort of people who always had a tame geek around - until I discovered Spanglefish! Their websites are so easy to use that a child of 5 could probably build a better site than any of the four I have now set up. One's for our village hall, another for the local newsletter, one's for my business and one's a personal site about gardening. They're all entirely different, but all use the standard Spanglefish template. There's no hanging around on the phone listening to interminable holding music and wondering whether it is better to press #1 to be connected with Denzil in Delhi or cut your ears off with a blunt penknife - any problems are speedily dealt with online, at all times of the day and night, by real people in Cromarty. Not only that, they have a sense of humour - but don't laugh at your idiotic mistakes. And the Administrator's Forum is a real online community. Come on, what are you waiting for?
