Plexus currently employs staff, and each comes from a very different background
Dave Newman, Director and Manager
David (or Dave to his friends) lives in Cromarty together with his wife Gillian and many friends. He has six children, yet luckily (and for the sake of his sanity), they have all left home and have settled themselves all around the UK and the world (Although, some keep coming back!) . .
Colin Dunn, Director and Designer
46 years in Cromarty means that I'm more-or-less accepted as a local. I'm rapidly building the sort of recognition which will soon make me eligible to be regarded as one of the town's more promising new 'eccentrics' . .
Garve Scott-Lodge, Senior Programmer
After years in the offshore oil industry, I expected working for Plexus to be similar to early retirement - the expectations don't match with reality . .
Jamie Pond, Junior Programmer
I joined the company in January 2006. After gaining my degree in Genetics at Glasgow University I wandered the bleak fields of the retail world (well I worked in computer games shop) trying to decide where to go with my career . .
Gill Fea, Spanglefish Management
Gill joined Plexus in late 2011, taking over the day-to-day set-up and monitoring of our Spanglefish Free websites from Dave who now focusses more on running the company and networking with clients and partners . .
Joy Nelson, Book-keeper
Joy's been managing our accounts and keeping us legal for the last 14 years. Particularly partial to a Dream Ring, she's also fond of a nice slab of carrot cake . .
Dave's Rants - Mindless Throwaway Music, the word 'cool', TV News, the word 'entrepreneur, Planning Regulations, and more.
Colin's Rants - Leaf Blowers, Sports Exhausts, DVD Players, and other irritations.
Garve's Rants - Weather presenters and their misuse of the English language.
Jamie's Rants - Coming Soon. Promise
Gill's Rants - Coming Soon, if she can but overcome her natural modesty and retiring nature.
I always thought websites were only for the sort of people who always had a tame geek around - until I discovered Spanglefish! Their websites are so easy to use that a child of 5 could probably build a better site than any of the four I have now set up. One's for our village hall, another for the local newsletter, one's for my business and one's a personal site about gardening. They're all entirely different, but all use the standard Spanglefish template. Read More...
