Aigas

New Aigas site by Plexus

With over 30 years experience in delivering nature and environmental programmes to groups and individuals from around the world, Aigas Field Centre understands the importance of good design and marketing. So, in late 2010, when they decided that a major revamp of their web branding was needed, they came once again to Plexus. With two previous Aigas site revamps under our belt in the last 10 years, we were delighted to get the contract and continue our highly successful relationship with Aigas Field Centre and Sir John Lister-Kaye.

Plexus first worked for Aigas 10 years ago when they needed a cutting-edge interactive multimedia CD-Rom for marketing their business in the US. This proved to be a very successful tool for them, as did the complementary web site we created at the same time. For 2010 it was clear that the site and its functionality needed re-focussing, and in consultation with Warwick Lister-Kaye we have done our best to provide the Centre with the site and related tools to carry them into he years ahead.

Aigas offers a wide range of programmes, both for its commercial business and for its charity projects, and a powerful, but easy-to-use web administration facility is vital to enable them to publicise these, and timeously update availability details so that site visitors were kept informed. Additionally, the programme information had to be presented in a user-friendly manner to aid in building a relationship between Aigas and potential clients, as well as increasing 'brand loyalty'.

Aias is also well know for it's connection with wildlife celebrities such as Bill Oddie (Springwatch and The Goodies), Johnny Kingdom (BBC A Year On Exmoor, and Johnny Goes to Scotland), Kate Humble (Springwatch & Autumnwatch), and Joanna Lumley (New Avengers, Cold Comfort Farm and Absolutely Fabulous), and the administrator wanted to be able to quickly add news stories about events involving them as soon as they happened to help in keeping the site fresh, interesting and attractive, especially for repeat visitors. Additionally, a facility for building on long-term relationships with hundreds of loyal customers was required, and is provide as part of the site’s e-newsletter and contacts system.
