Plexus built a new website for Andy after he took over the Ullapool Woodturning Centre in 2015 when its proprietor retired. Andy moved the business to his new Black Isle Woodturning Centre, but really struggled to manage the UWC website due to the age of the site and the huge range of products. It had been developed with stone-age HTML, had a very primitive online editing system, and was simply not compatible with smartphones and tablets. Andy realised that an urgent revamp was necessary. We were happy to build a modern site for him.
Since that time Andy’s business model has changed dramatically, with the focus now much more on high-level luxury bespoke woodturning commissions, as well as regular classes for enthusiasts.
Andy asked us to build him a brand new site using the latest technology, high quality photography, and an elegant online shop where people can buy his bespoke wood pieces bit also book classes. After discussions with Andy we decide that for his needs a WordPress site was the best way to go.
