Dornoch Antiques is a popular, and high quality antiques shop based in the famous golfing town, 40 odd miles north of Inverness. With a clientelle from across the whole UK, they wanted a simple, clean site that would let them easily list and display their stock, and help to keep their cistomers informed. At the same time the site had to be as easy as possible for them to keep updated, as nothing is more off-putting than a site that is clearly out of date.
A major revamp of the site in late 2013 now means that the proprietor has much greated control of the stock displayed on the site, with new category maangement tools making his updating far easier than before, and the viewing of items and categories by users a much faster and more intuitive experience. The new wider layout, with a design look and feel still very much modelled on their very popular site, means users have the familiarity of the old plus the benefits of new technology and a wider layout.
How far we succeded in our efforts is best demonstrated by the regularity with which the site is updated, and the constant stream of new items that appear within the sections of Jewellery, Furniture, China and Paintings that they sell through their site.

Castle Close Antiques’ new website went live online today. They commissioned a complete redesign of their previous website. The site features a simple online catelogue which they can easily maintain. The whole site is fully editable by them using our WebStarter package.The antique shop is situated in the centre of the historic Royal Burgh of Dornoch, directly opposite the ancient Cathedral. They have been in business there for over twenty years.
