The fine old Cromarty Harbour was designed by John Smeaton and built by John Gwyn between 1781 and 1784, incorporating a stone jetty which is now the west pier and an east pier. A significant addition in 1914 was the Admiralty Pier. This is currently unsafe and is not used for mooring vessels.
The Cromarty Harbour Trust is in the process if raising the significant funding required to render the harbour safe and restore some of the structure. As part of this process we were asked to design and develop a smart new website to help promote the project and raise its profile.
