Over the last 10 years we had been employed by the Hutton Institute to design and develop two previous iterations of their Dee River Partnership website. With many more conservation and ecology projects based around the Dee River near Aberdeen, Susan contact us to undertake a major redevelopment of the site. It was key that much of the existing data from the old site should be carried across to the new, but that design interface and site ‘engine’ be much more in keeping with and adaptable to modern viewing platforms and technology.
We developed a new professional-looking site design, and built the new site on the WordPress platform, and used specialist third-party plug-ins to enhance the management of project information as well as enabling, for example, the reporting of species sightings.
